Karina from Dandelion and Mallow got in touch late last year looking to rebrand her business after two years growing organically. She had beautiful botanic illustrations she wanted to carry over but she felt a disconnect between the logotype and the illustrations.
The initial mood board and colour palette selection I designed portrayed the direction that we both agreed the branding needed. The branding had to feel fresh and clean but I was mindful not to be too modern and stark with the design; keeping that nod to vintage or timelessness was imperative. Sometimes with clients it’s hard to explain the difference between what they like and what is good for their business but Karina was just a dream. She had such a strong direction and trusted the design process completely.
A beautiful serif font was carefully selected that is modern, feminine and delicate.
Variations of brand including some submark designs can be seen in the gallery. The beauty of having variations at your disposal is there are always different applications for your brand, some cases you might need a long landscape version and other situations like an Instagram profile you need a stacked or round layout. I like to offer a range for clients to use to keep their branding cohesive.
“Beautiful!! Love it all. You have captured the elegance and natural aspect of our business perfectly.” – KARINA
