Today, I’m ready to bust out ProCreate to illustrate for a loyal client, this is the type of work I would dream about doing.
I am SO excited.

I am drawing a range of iconic Australiana objects and then turning them into patterns for use on ____*top secret*____.

That is all I can really discuss now. 🤫

Just know it's going to be special.

Last week I announced I’m doing a 5 part mini-se Last week I announced I’m doing a 5 part mini-series to help you make branding your business so much easier! Well, get ready because here’s number 2 in the series. Know thy audience 🧐 Like, really get to know them. For example, a good place to start is to find out what they do for a crust, what is their age range, kids or no kids? What are their pain points and what media they consume/avoid? My strategy plan researches all of this for you and takes some time but OH-SO worth it!! I like to create an avatar for my ideal audience and give them a character, and put them in a story. This helps in a number of ways. It humanises your audience and it also helps to make them memorable. With an involved look at your ideal audience you can work out what platform you should be advertising to them on and when and in a language that speaks to them and addresses their issues. I was driving past the beautiful area of Currarong, NSW yesterday and thought of @sunfolk_ who trusted me with their strategy and branding. They initiated my help last year before the gorgeous home was built! So beautiful seeing it all work so well for them! 🥰 Don’t forget to follow along on to catch all the tips to make your life so much easier! 🥀@gypsy.carmen

As a multi-disciplinary designer, I can’t go wit As a multi-disciplinary designer, I can’t go without my project management tool. My go-to? I use to be so ride or die for Asana, then I started trialing @hassl.co Let’s say I was so happy with their streamlined dashboard, the intuitive approach to design AND the best bit is they are a Melbourne company. The community is small so when you suggest a new feature it gets added to the development list. The only thing I wish it had was a monthly view calendar, but there is a work around for now.
It’s ridiculously cheaper than anything on the market and has chat, gantt charts, time tracking and more I haven’t had the time to learn just yet. What’s your ride or die project mgmt tool? Let’s geek out together 🤓
Question: How much is a website? 👩‍💻 An Question: How much is a website? 👩‍💻
Answer: There is a great deal of variation in pricing for a website build, for example, the price of a one-page website would be cheaper than an online store with 400 odd products so it’s hard to give standard pricing without first a good conversation about features and goals. My sites are custom-designed and built, and the pricing begins at $2,200 (this is for a one-page website), hosting and domain names are outside of this price quoting.

Question: How long does your service take? ⏱
Answer: I know your time and your goals are important, so I make sure I’m as efficient as possible! Websites take between 6-10 weeks. A lot of the time clients aren't able to have all the content (images and wording) together to begin so a lot of this timeframe is educating my clients on what we need. Sometimes assisting in creating that content to move things along.

Question: How do I book in for your service? 🗓
Answer: I make booking as easy as it can be! All you need to do is head to my contact page and fill in the client application.

Question: I’ve never worked with a website designer before. What’s the first step? 📑
Answer: Firstly, I work with ‘first-timers’ all the time so there’s nothing at all to be worried about. Let me step you through the journey.

It starts with a meeting to see if we are a good fit. Then there is an agreement to sign and a deposit to book your spot in my schedule.

There is some pre-work for you to complete before our start date - another reason I book a month or two in advance as this bit takes time.

I then mock up the design of the homepage based on your prework questionnaire answers, your inspiration, market research, and your goals for the site.

The additional pages are built on the staging platform where we test and make sure everything is working as it should before we go live!
