The Lodge is an eccentric, creative and multi-faceted space and with the brains of the owner Carly, Barbara Architecture and The Brainchild we have created a space, identity and brand that turns heads and makes it staring worthwhile.
Creating a distinctive brand identity is a pivotal aspect of establishing a memorable presence in the competitive world of accommodations and spas. Let’s delve into the process of crafting the unique brand identity for the premier establishment nestled in the serene landscapes of Jamberoo on the captivating South Coast of New South Wales. Explore the key elements that shape our brand identity, the strategic decisions behind them, and the resulting guest experience that sets us apart.
Defining the Brand Identity: Building a successful brand identity begins with a clear understanding of who we are and what we stand for. I carefully define the brand values, mission, and vision to establish a strong foundation. By aligning their core values with the desires and expectations of our target audience, I create a brand that resonates deeply with potential guests.
Capturing Jamberoo’s Essence: Jamberoo’s breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural heritage serve as the inspiration for the brand identity. I meticulously incorporate elements that reflect the region’s charm, tranquility, and vibrant community spirit. You can see this in the illustrated icons created by me and influenced by Matisse. From the colours and typography to the visual imagery and messaging, every aspect of the brand identity embodies the essence of Jamberoo.
The Visual Identity: Visual elements play a pivotal role in shaping our brand identity. We carefully select a color palette that evokes a sense of calmness, using a soothing green and earthy tones reminiscent of the South Coast’s natural landscapes. The choice of typography reflects both sophistication and quirkiness, capturing the balance between professionalism and edgy style that The Lodge offers.
Authentic Brand Storytelling: Crafting an authentic brand story is essential for engaging with their target audience. Highlighting the unique features of the accommodation and spa, showcasing the luxurious amenities, personalised services, and the meticulous attention to detail that sets them apart. By telling their story in a genuine and compelling manner, they establish an emotional connection with potential guests.
Consistency Across Touchpoints: Maintaining consistency across all touchpoints is crucial in building a strong brand identity. From the branding identity to the signage to the marketing and room collateral, every aspect of the guest experience aligns seamlessly with their brand identity. Consistency fosters trust, ensuring that guests receive the same exceptional experience at every interaction with our establishment.
Evoking Emotions and Creating Memories: A well-crafted brand identity evokes emotions and creates lasting memories. Through thoughtful design choices, personalized guest interactions, and the incorporation of Jamberoo’s local elements, they strive to create an unforgettable experience for their guests. We want them to feel rejuvenated, inspired, and connected to the natural beauty and vibrant culture that surrounds them.
One of the most important assets every business needs… content! How can you sell without visual content? Carly asked me to be creative director for the initial photoshoot for The Lodge.
I work alone a lot of the time so being around other creatives for the day sharing knowledge and capturing some genuine magic moments was soul-enriching.
This shoot evokes feelings of excitement, aspiration, relaxation, and joy, which align with the hotel and resort’s goals.
As a result, they now have a wealth of on-brand images that will make it easy to know what to post on social media.
I loved providing this service so much and working with a team that I am putting it out there to do it more often.
